Why this site exists

RamenDex is designed to make Korean instant noodles easier to discover, compare, buy, and cook. The catalog is intentionally focused on product questions US shoppers ask before choosing a pack.

How we curate data

Product details are checked against manufacturer pages, official or retailer-hosted package labels, and manually reviewed buying links. Each published claim keeps its source URL, market, package version, confidence, and checked date.

RamenDex separates US bags, cups, bowls, and import versions when their facts can differ. Unknown or conflicting information stays labeled unknown instead of being filled from a similar product.

What “source checked” means

A source-checked page has been matched to a recorded market and package format using public web evidence. It does not mean a physical package was inspected unless the page explicitly says “Physical label checked.” Remaining evidence gaps are shown on the product page.

How we handle heat and nutrition

Numeric SHU values appear only with a cited source. The RamenDex 0–10 spice score is a separate relative comparison scale and is never presented as a manufacturer measurement. Nutrition values always show the serving weight used by the checked record.

Our standards

Affiliate revenue may support the site, but it does not decide factual conclusions or editorial ordering. Buying links are published only while the product identity check remains current, and paid links are labeled.
